To address these issues we have invented DermaSaver™, a complete line of skin protection and pressure reducing products. By creative application of MicroSpring™ textiles we have created something that has never existed before: a surface that relieves all of the factors leading to pressure sores and skin tears: pressure, shear, friction, and moisture entrapment. The compression resistive force of DermaSaver's MicroSpring Textile closely matches that of soft tissue, making DermaSaver like a soft protective extra skin layer.

Each layer of MicroSpring Textile has 4000 microfilaments per square inch to act as
mini pressure reducing springs. Microfilaments flex to reduce pressure on bony prominences and cushion fragile skin from bumps and abrasions that cause skin tears.

 

All layers of DermaSaver products are protected by the Aegis Microbe shield which uses an EPA registered antimicrobial technology to inhibit the growth of micro-organisms on the product. It is permanently bonded to the fibers, does not leach, or volatize.

You can use creams and ointments with DermaSaver products.

All DermaSaver products (except the oxygen/feeding tube covers) can be completely washed and dried even in high temperature institution laundries.

DermaSaver Skin Tubes™

Nothing like it has ever existed before!

Two layers of soft, lightweight MicroSpring Textile™ with 8000 microfilaments per square inch form
a loose-fitting tube that stays in place to protect fragile skin from pressure, friction and minor traumas that result in tears, bruising and minor abrasions. The layers of microfilaments allow air-flow and moisture transfer.

Simply slip the tube over the arm or leg, there are no hook and loop fasteners or tight fitting Spandex. The narrower end of the tube gently rests on the ankle or wrist to keep it from falling off. The cross microfilaments in the MicroSpring Textile allow these soft tubes to be self-supporting - they won't slip down or bunch up. And unlike traditional fabric sleeves and stockings, which are tight and binding, DermaSaver SkinTubes are designed to fit loosely.

SkinTubes are protected by the Aegis Microbe shield which uses an EPA registered antimicrobial technology to inhibit the growth of micro-organisms on the product.

	Sizing for Heel Protection The DermaSaver Stay-Put and Stay-Put PLUS Heel Protectors come in 4 sizes - Small, Medium, Large & Extra Large. To determine the correct size, measure around instep & heel as indicated in the diagram. Small: less than 12" Medium: 12" - 14 1/2" Large: 14 1/2" - 15 1/2" X-Large: greater than 15 1/2"		Measure the widest distance all the way around the heel/instep.
	Sizing for DermaSaver Relevator The DermaSaver Relevator Heel Elevator comes in 2 sizes - Small/Medium (S/M) or Large/Extra Large (L/XL). To determine the correct size, measure around instep & heel as indicated in the diagram. Small/Medium: Less than 13" Large/X-Large: Greater than 13"
